How we work
We are focusing on applying circular design principles into the way we create our products, from material selection and product construction to end-of-use considerations. We continue to evolve how we design and make our products, while exploring opportunities to increase the use of recycled and renewable materials.
We source cotton, viscose, wool, and polyester in line with our environmentally preferred material standards. We are committed to providing transparency about the work we do, allowing our customers to be better informed about our products, including guidance on how to care for and maintain them so they can be enjoyed for longer.
How we’re doing
100% Cotton, Wool & Viscose Sourced to Our Standards
Working collaboratively across the organization, we achieved our target of sourcing 100% environmentally preferred cotton, wool and viscose for orders placed in 2025 according to our defined sourcing standards.
Our Collaboration with Circulose
We are continuing the collaboration to use CIRCULOSE® in select products, an innovative material made using 100% pre- and post-consumer textile waste.

Brand Certifications and Transparency
Since 2022, Tommy Hilfiger in Europe has achieved brand certification annually against six Textile Exchange standards: Organic Cotton Standard, Global Recycled Standard, Recycled Claim Standard, Responsible Wool Standard, Responsible Alpaca Standard and Responsible Down Standard.

Scaling Recycled and Regenerative Cotton in Our Collections
We are scaling the use of recycled and regenerative cotton in our products. In 2025, 52% of the cotton used in our products was from regenerative or recycled sources.
Closing the Footwear Loop
In 2025, we joined the “Closing the Footwear Loop” Fashion for Good initiative which brings together leading fashion brands to help tackle the complex challenges of circularity in the footwear industry.
